The English Gardens
Enter the gardens through centuries-old European iron gates and be greeted by an octagonal lily pool and fountain. Follow the weathered brick and flagstone path to a center walkway with an antique rose covered cedar pergola connecting the three spaces. The Gardens’ twin viewing platforms allow guests a birds-eye view of all three gardens. Unique outdoor bronze sculpture, tucked away benches, and picturesque backdrops make this space ideal for a bespoke event.
The Eastern Garden
This space is designed to capture the tranquil nature of the Eastern Spirit. Expansive and open, The Eastern Garden is flanked by two unique structures. The Ting, with an air of balance and serenity, invites quiet contemplation. The Moon Gate, with it’s circular passage, is thought to offer an auspicious welcome of fortune to those who pass through.
The Spring House & Tulip Poplar
Over four hundred years old, two hundred and fifty feet tall, and thirty feet in circumference, Glenstone’s awe-inspiring Tulip Poplar is one of the oldest and largest trees in Virginia. The lawn leading to it is flanked by towering boxwood hedges on either side. The Spring House stands as a sentinel of the past, when the cool water of The Bull Run stream provided refrigeration for the storage of milk and vegetables.
The Meadow hill
With open vistas and Bull Run Mountain views, The Meadow Hill offers a sprawling natural backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and one of a kind wedding portraits.
